Grandma Paula's 60th Birthday Celebration

This past weekend Scott and I surprised my mom and dad in Naperville to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. We didn't have a surprise party for my mom but she forbid me to travel to her for her birthday so I needed to make it a surprise. I came prepared with a doctor's note from my OB permitting me to fly at this point in my pregnancy because I knew how upset my mom would be. After the initial shock she was really happy to see me, especially how well I look and am doing. We had a great family weekend and a terrific 60th birthday celebration.

Last Thursday I hit my 2nd trimester and it feels so good! We had an ultrasound today and we found out that Fletcher is doing great! His heartbeat is 158bp and he is measuring right where he should be. He looks like a baby now with his head and body being more proportioned. You could even see a little profile with nose, mouth and chin along with arms and hands and legs and feet. I didn't post a pic of the ultrasound because I didn't like the pictures they gave me, I am no longer doing the internal ultrasounds which I feel take much better pictures. The baby is the size of a lemon this week, 3 1/2 inches long! Some time between April 16-23 we should finally put to rest if Fletcher is a boy or girl.
